1. Various RFID products

Application of RFID in mechanical processing production lines

1.1 Material tracking and management

In the machining process, material tracking and management are crucial. Traditional material management methods rely on manual records, which are prone to errors and inefficient. By introducing RFID technology, a unique anti-metal RFID carrier can be installed for each material, and then combined with the RFID reader installed at the workstation, automatic identification and tracking of materials can be achieved. This not only improves the accuracy of material management, but also reduces labor costs.

1.2 Process monitoring and quality control

In the machining process, the quality of each process directly affects the quality of the final product. By using the RFID reader installed at the workstation to obtain the information of the anti-metal RFID tag installed on each material, the progress of each process can be monitored in real time and the product quality can be automatically detected. Once a problem is found, the system can immediately issue an alarm so that timely measures can be taken to correct it. This helps to improve product quality and reduce scrap rates.

1.3 Production line optimization and scheduling

RFID technology can also be used for production line optimization and scheduling. Through the RFID reader installed at the workstation, the information of the anti-metal RFID tag body installed on each material on the production line is read, and the read information is uploaded to the production line control system, so that the production status, equipment status and material inventory of each process can be understood in real time. Based on this information, the production line control system can automatically adjust the production plan, optimize the production process and schedule production resources to realize the intelligent management of the production line.

2. Application of RFID in machining tool management

In the field of machining, tools are important processing tools, and their management efficiency and service life directly affect production costs and product quality. In traditional tool management, tool usage records, maintenance history and life monitoring mostly rely on manual records or simple barcode technology. Traditional tool management methods have problems such as information asymmetry, low management efficiency and difficulty in maintenance. The application of RFID technology provides a new solution for intelligent tool management. By using embedded heat-resistant and anti-metal RFID carriers for tools, with its non-contact reading, high data storage capacity and good anti-interference ability, it has become an effective tool to solve the above problems.

2.1 Full life cycle management of tools

By installing an embedded heat-resistant and metal-resistant RFID tag on the tool, the tool information such as basic tool information (model, material, batch, etc.), usage history (processing time, processing materials, etc.) and maintenance records (sharpening times, replacement time, etc.) are stored through the tag. The RFID tag moves with the tool, and the information is updated in real time, realizing accurate management of the tool’s full life cycle.

2.2 Read-write interaction between tools and equipment control systems

Non-flush or flush RFID readers installed on CNC machine tools, CNC machining centers, or tool management cabinets can be seamlessly integrated with the equipment’s control system. When the tool enters the equipment, the reader automatically reads the tool information in the embedded code body on the tool and transmits the data to the control system. The control system automatically retrieves processing parameters or updates tool status based on the read information.

2.3 Information exchange between tools and production management systems

The embedded heat-resistant and metal-resistant RFID tag carrier is used as an information carrier to realize the information flow between tools, equipment control systems and production management systems. For example, when tools are transferred between different devices, relevant information (such as remaining life and usage records) can be automatically transmitted to the target device to avoid manual input errors.
